Michael Jordan will probably go down in history as one of the best basketball players of all time.  Even if you don’t follow professional sports, you’ve likely seen him on commercials for Nike tennis shoes, hotels, and underwear.

But, I love what he had to say about failure.  “I’ve missed more than nine thousands shots in my career.  I’ve lost almost three hundred games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed.  I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.”

You see, you can’t win unless you play the game.  Yes, you risk losing, but just over the horizon, success is waiting, and it’s worth fighting for.

Every time your attempt fails, you’ve ruled out one more thing that doesn’t work.

Don’t give in to the voice of fear that continues to tell you that you can’t do it, or reminds you that you’ve tried before and failed. Don’t make excuses for all the reasons it won’t work.

Failure is when you stop trying, and give up....

Would you even know if you were dehydrated? It’s said that if you feel that you might be, chances are that you already are. Dehydration happens when the body loses more fluid than it takes in.

Makes sense. The problem is that most people don’t realize just how much they lose especially when it’s hot. You may or may not have water with you, so you think you’ll get around to it sooner than you do.

Most people underestimate how dangerous it actually it is and the problems it can cause.

Here are some signs that you might be dehydrated.

  1. Dark yellow urine

  2. Muscle spasms or cramps

  3. Poor brain function - irritability, brain fog, or headaches

  4. Rapid heart rate and heavy breathing

  5. Dizziness and lightheaded when you go to stand up

  6. Constipation

  7. Fatigue

  8. Bloating

  9. Indigestion

  10. Extreme thirst or parched mouth and throat

We all want to look our best and have a youthful glow regardless of how old we are. In spite of what Hollywood and most magazines say, getting older is a natural part of life and not to be avoided.

However, there are precautions you can take, now, in order to have radiant, supple skin. Fortunately, many of the same things that will help you age gracefully will also keep you healthy for years to come.

  1. Always wash your face at night. Even if you don’t wear makeup, dirt and grime can clog your pores and cause skin irritations leading to breakouts.
